A Season That Strains Family Budgets

Faisal Khalid Al Nabooda, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Sharjah Cooperative, said the back-to-school period is one of the times of year when family financial commitments rise noticeably, prompting the cooperative to widen the range of products and options it offers to suit different needs and budgets

He added that the concept of school preparation is no longer limited to traditional stationery and supplies, but now extends to modern educational devices and technology, as well as food items and healthy options, factors the cooperative took into account while preparing this season’s campaign

15 Cars in the Prize DrawThe campaign includes a prize draw giving shoppers who spend AED 300 or more, whether in branches or through the online store, the chance to win 15 vehicles: one INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster Fieldmaster, seven Geely Coolray cars and seven Suzuki Baleno cars, in addition to 100 gift cards worth AED 500 each, totaling AED 50,000 distributed among winners.Support for National ProductsAl Nabooda said the campaign is part of the cooperative’s broader community role, treating high-spending seasons as an opportunity to offer wider choices to consumers and meet families’ essential needs

The campaign also continues to give visibility to national products and Emirati brands by dedicating greater shelf space to them at a time of noticeably rising demand for school-related goods, reinforcing local products’ presence with consumers.Al Nabooda said the initiatives form part of an integrated seasonal program combining daily family needs, support for national products, and the cooperative’s community role, within the AED 2 million total budget allocated for the campaign
