
Dubai: Pakistani crypto expert, technology entrepreneur and live leverage trader Waqar Zaka haswon a major international solo TradFi trading competition involving more than 3,000 participantsfrom around the world, earning a brand-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon as the winner’s prize.The competition required traders to use their own capital while trading across multiple assetclasses, including stocks, gold, silver, commodities and cryptocurrencies. There were no teams,referrals or promotional targets. Rankings were based entirely on overall profit-and-lossperformance across traditional and digital financial markets.Competing with a US$100,000 account, Zaka finished first with a 74% return, generatingUS$74,000 in profit during the 20-day contest and closing with an account value of US$174,000. Atrader from South Korea finished second with a 57% return, while a trader from China secured thirdplace with a 35% return.Zaka has previously been officially recognised as a crypto expert in connection with hisappointment by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to assist with cryptocurrency andblockchain-related initiatives. Since 2016, he has publicly promoted Bitcoin, financial technologyand responsible risk management through educational content, live trading sessions and legaladvocacy related to cryptocurrency regulation in Pakistan.His victory has also renewed attention to his long-standing proposal that Pakistan should considerbuilding a national Bitcoin reserve as part of its long-term financial strategy. Years before similardiscussions gained global attention, Zaka publicly argued that Bitcoin could become a strategicnational asset if adopted with appropriate regulation and risk management.This latest achievement marks one of the first occasions a Pakistani trader has secured first placein a large international multi-asset online trading competition, highlighting Pakistan’s growingpresence in global digital finance
