Dubai: Celebrated Qawwals Akbar Nizami and Gufran Nizami, known worldwide as the Nizami Brothers, will perform in the UAE for the very first time on 27 June 2026 at Emirates Theatre, with the evening beginning at 6:30 PM. Rooted in the legendary Sikandrabad Gharana, the Nizami Brothers represent a musical tradition that traces back over 700 years to the spiritual legacy of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia and Hazrat Ameer Khusro. Their style brings together the depth of classical training with the soulful expression of traditional Qawwali.Trained under Late Ustad Ghulam Sabir Nizami and classical maestro Padma Bhushan Ustad Altaf Hussain Khan Sahab of the Khurja Gharana, the duo has performed more than 4,000 concerts across India and internationally, including tours across the UAE, the wider Middle East, the UK, Europe, Africa, and Sri Lanka.Among their many milestones, the Nizami Brothers are recognised as the first Indian Qawwals to perform at the Royal Albert Hall.
